Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan in Silsila
Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha are considered to be an all-time popular on-screen pair in Bollywood and the actor says he will not rule out the possibility of working with the actress in future films.

The two have starred together in films like Silsila, Mr Natwarlal and Muqaddar Ka Sikandar.

The 72-year-old actor, who will be next seen in R Balki's Shamitabh, said the director wants to make a movie with him and Rekha.

"Balki keeps threatening me that he wants to design a film together... Let me see if someone has a story which is appropriate... then why not," Bachchan said during the trailer launch of the film in Mumbai.

Shamitabh also stars Rekha and there was speculation about the pair coming together on the screen but Bachchan has cleared the air saying the actress does not share any scene with him in the film.

"We actually don't come together, it is a part of a sequence. When people will watch the film, they will understand. It is always nice to have such great luminaries in the film," he said.

Shamitabh is Balki and Bachchan's third collaboration after Cheeni Kum and Paa.

The film also has south superstar Dhanush and will mark the debut of Akshara Haasan, the younger daughter of Kamal Haasan and Sarika.

When asked about the unique title of the film, Balki said, "A title like Dhamitabh or Hamitabh would have sounded very weird. That's why this unique title."

Dhanush, who made his Bollywood debut in 2013 with Raanjhanaa, said he feels blessed to work with Bachchan.

"It was a great experience just watching him," he said.

Akshara thanked Balki for showing confidence in her and casting her in the film alongside Dhanush and Bachchan.

"I was very scared to work with Mr Bachchan and Dhanush but they both made me comfortable," she said.

Muslims deserve reservations, says Asaduddin Owaisi

Beed: The former Congress-NCP government in Maharashtra kept the Muslim community backward and it deserves reservations, MIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi has said.
The Sachar committee and other similar panels had recommended reservations for the Muslim community, he pointed out.
"The Congress-NCP government kept the community backward and denied it benefit of reservations," Owaisi alleged.
The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief was addressing an election rally here on Tuesday. As per the Articles 15 and 16 of Indian Constitution, a community which has remained backward should be given reservations, he said.
The Lok Sabha MP from Hyderabad clarified that his party is not against the reservation to the Marathas, but Muslims too should get their right.
After the Bombay High Court stayed the Congress-NCP government's decision to offer quotas to Marathas and Muslims last year, the new BJP-Shiv Sena government got passed a Bill in the state Assembly in December 2014 which gave reservation to Marathas in education and government jobs, but left out the Muslims.
Owaisi also said that many Muslims are languishing in prisons without trial and even charge sheets are not filed for years together in such cases.
Muslims account for only four per cent of Maharashtra police force and three to four per cent of government servants, therefore, reservation is necessary for them, he said.
Journalist-turned MIM legislator Imtiyaz Jaleel said that Muslims were more backward than Dalits and for the last 65 years, they have been treated only as vote bank. "Now, the NCP and Congress are scared as we (MIM) have entered the fray. We will contest the municipal elections," Jaleel said.
