Frenemies? Mika Singh bumps into Rakhi Sawant

Mumbai: Looks like Mika has buried the hatchet with item girl Rakhi Sawant. Mika Singh's story cannot be complete without the mention of his controversial kiss that he indulged with Rakhi Sawant at his birthday bash in 2006. The two have been embroiled in controversy ever since. 
Recently they bumped into each other on a flight and Mika even took a selfie with his long time 'frenemy'. He shared the picture on his Twitter handle and as usual was his humorous self when he addressed Rakhi.

With his hilarious performances in many blockbuster films, Bollywood actor Deven Verma got his name engraved with golden ink in the history of Hindi cinema. The 77 year old star reportedly died after a heart attack and kidney failure in Mumbai on Tuesday.

"Deven Verma .. friend, co artist, producer and one that brought smiles on the faces of millions .. no more ! Prayers & condolences (SIC)," tweeted Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

He further wrote on the microblogging website, “Deven Verma .. shall never be able to repeat our patent greeting : ' this floor is made of cement concrete ' !! RIP.”

The actor, who won Filmfare Best Comedian Award thrice, will always be remembered in Hindi cinema for his rib-tickling acts.

Badlapur Teaser launch

Actors Varun Dhawan, Huma Qureshi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui launched the teaser of their film Badlapur in Mumbai on Tuesday, December 2. The trio was accompanied by the film’s director Sriram Raghavan, producer Dinesh Vijan and actress Divya Dutta among others. Since Varun Dhawan’s rugged look has been much talked about, the actor spoke of it. “It has no resemblance to Shahid Kapoor’s 'Haider'. Shahid played a boy from Kashmir in ‘Haider’ and I am playing an ad executive from Maharashtra in 'Badlapur',” Varun said. Director Sriram Raghavan said that the audience shouldn’t miss the beginning of the film, slated to release in Feb next year.

'DDLJ' defined a generation: Shekhar Kapur

Mumbai: Congratulating the cast and crew of romantic blockbuster 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' on completing 1000 weeks in theatre, filmmaker Shekhar Kapur said he wished that more such films were made in India.
The YashRaj Film Production starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, which marked Aditya Chopra's directorial debut, has been playing out in the iconic Maratha Mandir, making it the longest running film in the history of Indian cinema. It will complete 1000 weeks on December 12.
"DDLJ 1000 weeks. Congratulations to Adi Chopra and the whole team. The film defined a generation. Wish they still made films like this. From the heart," Kapur, who has directed films like' Bandit Queen', 'Mr India', 'Elizabeth', posted on Twitter.
