Aamir Khan to revisit Sambhar Lake Town- location of first 'pk' poster

Mumbai: Aamir Khan who has kicked of his multicity promotions will be revisiting Sambhar Lake Town, the same location where he shot the famous first poster of ‘pk’ after almost a year.
For the pk poster, the ace actor wanted to shoot in real. He was keen not to shoot with green screen and create the poster on VFX.
Therefore the team had to shoot in a place where the actor could shoot in the buff with a limited crew.
The location was finalised as Sambhar Lake Town, near Jaipur in Rajasthan.
The poster which showed the perfectionist Aamir Khan posing in the buff, with just a transistor covering his essentials, has been the hot topic of discussion, and created a lot of buzz and took the film’s promotional campaign to another level.
There has been a lot of curiosity around the story of the film which Rajkumar Hirani is very keen to keep under wraps because he wants the audience to enjoy a complete viewing experience.
The ace director startled everyone with the vision and portrayal of the character of P.K.
The film is all set to release on the 19th of December.

New Delhi: If the recent buzz of B-Town is to be believed, Deepika Padukone is set to play Rekha’s character of ‘Khoon Bhari Maang’ in its remake.
Deepika is riding high on back to back successes of her films. Her movies, ‘Happy New Year,’ ‘Chennai Express,’ and ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’ were blockbusters earning her critics and audience’s praises.
Now her role in a remake of Rekha’s one of the most successful films can really be a great achievement.

‘Khoon Bhari Maang’ was released in 1988 and was a trendsetter in many aspects. It is one of the very few films of Bollywood, which have succeeded without a hero. A female protagonist was very rare in Bollywood at that time.
The film was a remake itself of an Australian mini-series ‘Return to Eden.’

A revenge drama, ‘Khoon Bhari Maang’ is the story of a wealthy widow who is betrayed by many in her life. Her second husband tries to kill her too to acquire her wealth but somehow she manages to survive. She comes back with a new identity to take revenge with the people who had wronged her.
Rekha played two characters in the film, one a simple unattractive woman and another an attractive confident woman who is set for revenge.

Directed by Rakesh Roshan the film also starred Sonu Walia, Kabir Bedi and Kader Khan in important roles.
It would be quite interesting to see if Deepika would be able to revise such an iconic character as the comparisons between the two are obvious.
A leading daily quotes an industry source, “Deepika had been approached for the role, and she has given her nod, as she loved the subject given to her.”
Further details about the project are still awaited.
